The Sfakia region is very beautiful. You can find there Imbros Gorge, Chora Sfakion, Glyka Nera Beach, Loutro and Phoenix, Aradane Gorge, Anopolis, Agios Pavlos beach, Agia Roumeli. Best way to get to Anapolis from Chora Sfakion is hitchhiking. Going up and down on a shepherds truck was one of the most beautiful moments for me in Crete.

During this foot trip from Sougia to Paleochora and Elafonisos I saw ancient Lysos and beautiful nature. I also explored Elafonisos lagoon, which is much more larger then I expected and found it together with Balos the most beautiful beach in Crete, even it was very overcrowded, because many people like to enjoy its beauty, soft sand and colorful, warm see.
